Amenities: Shops, supermarkets and restaurants are within 2 - 10 minutes walking time. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to the beach. Car hire is not essential at this location.
Caleta de Fuste, also known as El Castillo, is a modern, purpose-built resort with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The gently shelving beach and calm, shallow waters of the bay make this a popular choice with families. Water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for and facilities include windsurfing, scuba-diving and sailing. The main shopping area is traffic-free and here you will find boutiques and gift shops as well as bars and restaurants. There is a wide variety of places to eat and most tastes are catered for. The resort is well maintained with nicely planted public areas which are kept litter-free. Golfers can enjoy two golf courses close by (within 5 minutes by car). One of which has hosted the Spanish Open.
The situation of Caleta, 8 kilometres (5 miles) south of the airport, makes the resort susceptible to some aircraft noise during the day (there is no night-time flying).

"The split level apartment is fantastic, with plenty of space to relax without getting in the way of others in the group. The location is light and catches sun, and the apartment is light and cool. I cannot complain about the site other than the BBQ - there are 2, and there is only 1 grill rack, and that was filthy, so put us off using them. The site is a spacious site, and could do with a lock up for luggage, to allow customers the ability to safely place their luggage while waiting for transport. Other than that we have been well serviced by the management company and the letters."
Value: Excellent Met expectations: Exceeded them Recommend: Definitely Overall: Excellent
Owner’s Comment: Thank you for your review. We think that it’s reasonable to expect guests who use the barbecue to clean up after themselves. Unfortunately, this is often not the case. We use Casa Miramar ourselves several times a year and we always have to spend time cleaning the griddle which is a difficult task when it has been used repeatedly without ever being cleaned.

"We had a fantastic time in this lovely villa. The area around the swimming pool was lovely and obviously had been thoughtfully designed. The outdoor fridge was a definite bonus - especially with the kitchen being upstairs. Inside it was clean and tidy and met our needs - although we didn’t spend much time in there! The only thing that would have made it better for us was if the hot tub was at the back by the pool. Although in an excellent position at the front to catch the evening sun, it felt more exposed there, as the next door neighbour’s front patio was quite close. Good location for everything, with a little supermarket at the top of the road (although expensive, you are able to walk to the bigger supermarket in about 15 – 20 mins and then a taxi ride back is just a couple of euros). We would definitely come again!"

“We were 2 families 2 mums, dads and teenage girl and boy. We stayed at the Casa Miramar, our 1st time staying in a villa, it was perfect for our 2 families, one having the upstairs and the other downstairs, but both using the communal areas. The villa had a lovely homely feel, having the bonus of a pool in the back and a hot tub in the front. The villa is only about a 10-15 minute walk to the sea front and also the commercial centres, where you have a good choice of places to eat. We had a fab roast in between where we were staying and the beach called Tommy Nutters, recomended to anyone wanting a taste of home.
We spent a lot of time in O’Conner’s our husbands to watch the footie in the day and early evening and for all of us to listen to the fantastic duo (The Paddy Wacks) They invite anyone who wants to do a song on stage within 2 minutes of being told my daughter Bridie sings and plays guitar, they had her up on the stage, she went up twice for about four or five evenings, which was great for her as she sings in public but gave her the confidence to progress. The bar staff are also very friendly there.
I can recommend the zoo, we had a brilliant day there, if you want to watch any of the shows make sure you get there about half an hour before as they are popular, and we went on a quiet day. We went to Corralejo one of the days and found public transport straightforward.
All in all it was our 1st trip to Fuerteventura and would love to go back next year if possible.
No bad comments at all. Weather just nice for Easter break. Look forward to getting back either this year or in 2012”.
